History:

Bible Baptist Church was founded in 1972 by six couples for the purpose of preaching and teaching the truths of God as defined in the Bible.  From the very beginning, the church purposed to have a strong and vibrant desire to minister to people of all ages–through the Word of God.  We still hold to that same purpose today.  It is our heart’s desire that in every ministry, Jesus Christ would have the pre-eminence.

Our Position:

Bible Baptist Church has no ecclesiastical or denominational affiliation.  We are an independent Baptist Church patterning ourselves after the New Testament churches.  Bible Baptist is self-governed in organization.

Fundamental in adhering to the absolute Word of God, we believe the King James Version translation of Scripture best preserves the Word of God.  For this reason, the King James translation is used for all preaching and teaching.  The Bible is our final authority on all spiritual matters.

We are pre-tribulation and pre-millennial in believing that Christ will rapture His church into heaven before the Great Tribulation Period and will return with the saints to reign for 1,000 years upon the earth.

With this in mind, we claim to be an independent, fundamental Baptist church that is evangelistic and edifying in our message.

Music Standards:

Bible Baptist Church uses traditional hymns during each worship service and special care is taken when selecting choir and special music numbers. To learn more about the histories of hymns we use in our worship service, check out our Hymn Histories page.

Mission Philosophy:

Our philosophy of ministry is built upon two key teachings of Scripture:

Evangelization: We believe that people everywhere need the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior in order to be prepared for eternity. We preach salvation through Christ in a very simple, understandable, straight-forward manner. Matthew 28:19 “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:”

Edification: We believe that Christians must grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. We have developed a strong teaching ministry to meet the spiritual needs of Christians.  II Timothy 4:2 “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.”

Worldwide Missions:

We strongly believe in God’s command from Mark 16:15 to “…preach the gospel to every creature.” God has blessed us with the opportunity to actively support over 50 missionaries and missionary projects around the world. We are honored and thankful to have a part in worldwide missions

During each service, when available, several missionary letters are read to keep our people updated on God’s work in their field.  Often we take up special projects as part of our Sunday School offering.
